Culture Night Late - with Cathedral (AKA Shampain).

  • The Mick Lally Theatre Druid Ln, (off Quay Street) Galway City (map)

Culture Night Late with Cathedral (AKA Shampain).

Tickets FREE but pre-booking is essential.

Nothing lasts forever and nothing reflects this more than the changing facade of the city that surrounds us. An hour exploring the power of holding onto what makes you happy and ultimately letting it go in search of eternal peace; Cathedral looks to pose the question, not whether change is good or bad, but whether a city can hold its own in a time where its inhabitants have never had such uncertain futures.

Artist Bio

Having spent years toying with ambient and ominous sounds, Cathedral is the new experimental alias from Shampain. Prior to this he had already soundtracked silent classics such as Man Of Aran, Nos Feratu, Faust and Irish Destiny in celebrated venues such as The Pepper Canister Church, The Complex, An Taibhdhearc, The Galway Town Hall & The Sugar Club.

Cathedral aims to challenge audiences and explore the boundaries of electronic, underground and avant garde music while presenting a sound that he had nurtured in the club scene with a new artistic vision.
