KEYNOTE LECTURE


Professor Andrew Clancy is an architect, academic leader, and writer dedicated to advancing architectural discourse through practice, education, and critical writing. Since 2016, he has been Professor of Architecture at @Kingston School of Art, London, leading practice research, pedagogic reform, and scholarly culture. He completed his PhD at rmit University (2017) and has held prestigious academic roles, including Guest Professor at Accademia dell’Architettura Mendrisio and Visiting Professor at Aarhus School of Architecture. He has been External Examiner to the AA School since 2019 and has critiqued and led workshops in numerous universities including ETH, Mendrisio, Kaiserslauten, London Met,, and TU Dublin.

Clancy co-founded Clancy Moore Architects (2008) with Colm Moore. The practice was BD’s Young Architect of the Year (2018), won the AR Peter Davey Award (2019), and has been nominated for the EU Mies Award multiple times. Their work has been exhibited at the Venice Biennale (2018) and London Festival of Architecture (2015). A noted architectural critic, Clancy has published extensively and co-founded the Drawing Matter Summer School (2016) in collaboration with Hauser & Wirth Somerset.
