Recent Renovation and Adaptation at Turlough Park House.  A guided tour of the 1860s gothic revival style house adjacent to the Museum of Country Life.

Turlough Park House is the ancestral home of the Fitzgerald family. Built in 1865 to a design by Thomas Newenham Deane, it is now occupied by staff of the National Museum of Ireland, although part of the ground floor is open to the public.  The Museum of Country Life is located in the grounds of Turlough Park in modern, new buildings, adjacent to Turlough Park House.  The house overlooks 30 acres of formal gardens, parkland and an ornamental lake.
